- **Event Name**: The 3rd Annual Jacob Aitken Memorial / Swan Lake Ice Fishing Derby

- **Event Description**: When:  Saturday, February 14th. This is Maine free fishing weekend.  No license is needed.

Where:  Swan Lake, Swanville, ME.  Registration / Weigh-In will be located on the ice by the boat launch on Rt. 141.

Start:  6:00 AM. Must be registered to win cash prize or shore prize.  Registration ticket sales will be available below, or register at the Registration / Weigh-In station before lines are in.

End:  4:00 PM.  Cash prizes will be awarded at the Registration / Weigh-In location immediately after the derby.   We’ll call you if you win a shore prize so you can pick it up during the derby at the Registration / Weigh-In station.

Entry Fee:  $20 adults (15 - older) $10 youth (6 – 14) Under 6 is free.  Registration info (name, address, phone #) and entry fees may be made in person before fishing, or at jacobaitkenmemorial.betterworld.org or via Venmo to @Whitney-Aitken or by calling or texting Whitney Aitken at 207-322-3136.  Entries with fee may also be mailed to The Jacob S. Aitken Memorial Scholarship Fund at 78 Back Brooks Rd. Monroe, ME 04951.

Prizes:	

*Heaviest Legal Fish (excluding lake trout and salmon):
 Adult:       1st Place:	$750
                  2nd Place: 	$500
		  3rd Place:    	$250

Youth:        1st Place:  ME Lifetime Fishing License
                  2nd Place:   $200
                  3rd Place:    $100

*$1000 for largest lake trout	(combined weight and length)

*$1000 for largest salmon  (combined length and weight)

*$250 to first person to beat last years heaviest fish winner (4.46 lbs. from Joe Nelson)

Hourly Shore Prize:  Name drawn each hour from current list of registrants.  Your registration ticket is your shore prize entry. Prizes given out at the derby after each hour (we will call the winners each hour to make arrangements).  Shore prizes include items such as Striker fish finders, Eskimo ice shelters, underwater fishing cameras, K-Drill ice fishing bit/auger, ice fishing pack basket with gear, Buddy Flex propane ice shelter heater & carry bag, gift certificates and others.

50/50 Raffle tickets: tickets are available to purchase on jacobaitkenmemorial.betterworld.org or at the registration table at the boat landing.

Please join us to raise money for The Jacob S. Aitken Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Details about the organization may be found on our Facebook page.  All derby rules and MDIFW permit will be on display at the Registration / Weigh-In Station.   All ice fishing derby entry fees, donations, sales and 50/50 raffle proceeds will be donated to The Jacob S. Aitken Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Waldo County Woodshed.
