In 2025, we removed over 54,000 pieces (!!!) of trash from our shorelines — including single-use plastic, microplastics, and more. 🪣🧤The winter season always stir up the Great Lakes, leaving lots of plastic items washed up on the shoreline. Which is why we need your help for our first beach cleanup of the spring season!WHAT TO KNOW:Our goal is to cleanup Lake Erie’s shoreline while having fun!Everyone & anyone is welcome!All cleanup materials will be provided.All trash we collect will be weighed, counted and categorized with the help of volunteers for Great Lakes plastic pollution research & advocacy efforts.A state park fee will NOT be required. If there is an attendant at the entrance, please let them know you are participating in a volunteer cleanup event.WHAT TO BRING:A reusable water bottle so you can stay hydrated with provided water refills without single-use plastic. 🌎Warm layers!
