Ceramics & Hand-Building Workshop
This relaxed taster session offers a welcoming introduction to ceramics in a supportive, informal setting.
Participants will explore the creative possibilities of working with clay through both wheel-based and hand-building techniques.
Working with stoneware clay, participants will be guided through throwing a simple form and will be able to choose from five glaze finishes.
The session will also introduce hand-building methods, showing what can be created without a wheel and how these techniques can be developed further.
Participants will create their own ceramic items, which will be fired after the session and returned for collection from The Halfway, Tal-y-Coed.
Workshops are just £45 per 2 hour session.
All materials are provided, and no previous experience is required.
Young people 14+ are welcome to attend with a supervising adult.
The Halfway, Tal-y-coed will be open from 12 noon all day serving food & drinks while the workshop is on.
