The weekend will start again on the Thursday afternoon with doors opening at 4pm with the usual full house - the opening slot on the Steve Strange Main Stage at WinterStorm has become a coveted spot for bands and WinterStorm had already confirmed that following on from Gin Annie in 2023 and The Treatment in 2024, returning Welsh Rockers, Scarlet Rebels will continue the theme of blasting the roof off from the start! This has become a prestigious slot on the card and the WinterStorm Clan are always in for this opening slot. It feels amazing on a Thursday afternoon!
As is more fully explored elsewhere, WinterStorm is strongly celebrating 45 years since "The Spirit of '80" and along with the memories and influences of 1980, WinterStorm’s ongoing international theme will continue with the introduction of some progressive power metal from Italy. Combine them both and you'll get the explosive performance and presence of Vision Divine who will now feature Michele Luppi returning after his time with Whitesnake.
WinterStorm are continuing their trend of always pushing the envelope a bit when it comes to mixing genres and throwing in left field acts and this year it'll be Scotland’s own High Fade who have come to prominence over the past year (and are a personal favourite of WinterStorm’s own MC Tom Russell) - they will mix it up bringing a really different Funk, Rock, 70’s, 80’s vibe to the stage.
Flying in from The States and those that have seen them live will confirm that Ugly Kid Joe are guaranteed to get the WinterStorm audience bouncing. The platinum selling Californian rockers may be best known for their singles such as Everything About You or Cats in the Cradle but their strength is in their live performance! They will close the Thursday evening Steve Strange Main Stage with every bit as much power and passion as Scarlet Rebels will have opened it some six hours earlier!
The Sessions Stage once gain offers an alternative platform for a range of bands over the three days and the Thursday night will feature four Scottish bands including a young local band from Ayrshire. More information is available on the Thursday line up page on Angel Eyes, Nothing Speaks, Bison Hip and after the success of the After Show last year we're delighted to introduce Scotland's only UFO tribute Too Hot To Handle.
