About Kerry: Kerry Gleeson is Lived Experience Practitioner and Advocate.
She brings both her professional training and her lived experience to the work she does. She knows what it’s like to struggle, and she knows how powerful it can be to have someone beside you who genuinely understands.
In her own healing, talk therapy was an important foundation, but there came a point where she needed additional tools to move through the hardest parts of her journey. Exploring alternative modalities was a necessary step that helped her reconnect with herself when nothing else was reaching the deeper layers of her pain. Those practices became a meaningful part of her recovery and helped her find hope again.
That experience shifted her path. She chose to train in these modalities not just for her own growth, but so she could offer others the same sense of possibility, support, and practical tools that helped her rebuild her life. Her work is grounded and she truly believes no one should have to navigate their hardest moments alone, and no matter how dark your day feels you can find a tiny glimpse of hope if you connect with the right person in the right moment.
She is a trauma-informed, person centered and advocate whose lived experiences of Childhood sexual abuse, Family violence, Mental Health challenges, and Suicide shape her powerful voice and actions for change.
With an Honours Degree and Mental Health First Aid Accredited. She is also a STARS Licensed Practitioner, Reiki Master/Teacher, Trauma Informed Breathwork Facilitator and Holistic Counsellor.
She also guides organisations through a lived experience lens, fostering trauma- informed, person-centred approaches to mental health, suicide prevention, and service delivery. She elevates lived experience as a catalyst for systemic change across health, education, and community sectors.
