Still casting actors for the following roles: 

Captain Richard Davenport: A Black officer and lawyer tasked with investigating the murder.
Tech/Sergeant Vernon C. Waters: The victim, a strict Black sergeant
Private First Class Melvin Peterson: A militant soldier
Private C.J. Memphis: A musically talented, innocent, Southern Black soldier
Private James Wilkie: A conniving soldier who frequently acts as Waters's lackey.
Private Tony Smalls: A career soldier who witnesses the crime.
Corporal Bernard Cobb: A somewhat crude and outspoken member of the platoon. 
Corporal Ellis: A by-the-book, spit-and-polish soldier
Private Louis Henson:  A quiet and nervous solider, who serves as pitcher of the baseball team.

Casting is race-specific in accordance with the script and the historical realities depicted in the play. The remaining roles are for nine (9) Black men who can play 20-45 years old. All roles are male-presenting. Age ranges reflect the characters’ ages, not the actors’ actual ages. 

Show Dates: April 24th, 25th, 26th & May 1st, 2nd, 3rd. 

Synopsis: On a Louisiana Army base in 1944, a Black sergeant is murdered, and an officer from the segregated military police is sent to investigate. The unfolding mystery confronts racism, authority, and identity, revealing tensions and prejudices simmering beneath the surface. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, this riveting drama combines suspense with social commentary, immersing audiences in a gripping story of justice and human complexity.
