Send us a DM for more registration details. Registration opens on January 15th. Below is everything you need to do to be part of this lovely annual gathering (except pack and arrive). Read it carefully, do what it says, and make your plans now. See you in March! Retreat cost: Through Feb 15: $85-$150/person, as you can afford – early registration discount! Starting Feb 16: $120-$150/person, as you can afford. Joyful Journey Lodging: LODGING IS FULLY BOOKED! A 50% lodging deposit is paid directly to Joyful Journey when you call them to reserve lodging. Because there are more beloved dancers than lodging space, you will be providing great blessings by your willingness to share your room or yurt with at least 3 people total (depending on the room size, of course). Please choose one person to pay the deposit and then sort out the rest of the $$ between yourselves (not JJ or DUP staff). Then one person can pay the balance, due by March 11. As an overnight guest, reservations include: · Soaking in the pools beginning at noon on the day of arrival through 8:00 pm on the day of departure. Pools open at 7am for overnight guests (9:30 am for day guests). All pools close at 9:50pm for overnight cleaning. · Complimentary breakfast served 7:00 to 10:00a.m. · Complimentary light dinner served from 5:30 to 8:00p.m. · Towels for soaking. · Lodge rooms and yurts include robes and bedding. There is a $50 flat fee for each reservation that includes a pet in the Hotel or Yurts, and a $10 flat fee for camping reservations. All campsites and RV spaces are pet friendly. Not all rooms and yurts are. PRO TIP: BRING 2 BATHING SUITS SO ONE CAN DRY WHILE YOU’RE SOAKING IN THE OTHER! OFFSITE LODGING: There are motels in Saguache about 10-15 minutes away. For Offsite-Lodgers: Daily soaking cost is $18. Dinner is $18, plus tax. Drop-ins: Just dropping in for a dance or two? Yay! COST: $20 per session. Frequently Asked Questions: Can I get into the kitchen after or before hours? There are new lodging keys - your lodging key will open the dining room door before 7am, which is otherwise locked until then. (The front door of the office, which leads to the pools, automatically unlocks at 7:31am.) Can I bring my RV? Yes, a limited number of RV spots are available, some with electric plug-ins, some without. Yes, but they can stay only in lodging (rooms or yurts) that specifically allows pets, and with you in your camping rig. There is an enclosed yard adjacent to our dance space where friendly dogs can play together! Pets are welcome on the property as long as they are leashed. However, JJ does not allow pets in the pool area. While soaking in the hot springs, you are welcome to place your dog into the outdoor kennel area. This is a large kennel with shade. Please remember to bring plenty of water for your dog as well. While staying overnight, please crate your pet while you are not in your room or yurt. Is refrigeration available? If you have items you wish to remain cold, JJ recommends bringing a cooler chilled with ice, frozen water bottles, or ice packs. The Yurt Kitchen is available to all overnight guests, 24/7 and has a full stove/oven, refrigerator, sink and dishwasher. You will need to provide your own cookware and utensils to prepare your own meals. What can we expect from the weather? Weather can be challenging to predict especially in Colorado in March. Wear layers! Bring indoor shoes for the Dance/gathering space. And maybe a hat for soaking when it’s cold out! There is a bathhouse for Yurts and campers, as well as a bathroom in the Event Center (our Dance/gathering space). There are also bathrooms in the main building, in the hall on the way to the pools. Lodge rooms have their own bathrooms. Can I drink the water? Joyful Journey has amazing drinking water in a filtered stand in the reception area that you can use to fill your own bottles. Bring a reusable water bottle! Retreat Requirements & Policies: Cancellation/ Refund Policy: · Payments are refundable through February 9th, less a $50 cancellation fee. · Cancellations after February 9th and before February 28th will be refunded 50% after the $50 admin fee is subtracted. · No refunds after March 1st, unless you get your spot filled. Then we will refund all your payment less $50. The only exceptions for cancelling are illness or extenuating circumstances. This helps keep our camp sustainable. Thank you for understanding. Community Service: Joyful Journey is taking care of most of the food and dishes for us, so helping to move tables and chairs for breakfast and dinner, cleaning up after yourself and tidying shared spaces will likely be all that's needed for this event. Performing Karma Yoga service offers the opportunity to bond more deeply with each other as we share in the joy of co-creating community and making camp happen. Wellness Policy: We are asking that everyone be responsible for their own well-being during Camp. Please be kind and attend Camp only if you are feeling perfectly well and experiencing no symptoms of contagious illness. If there is a big upswing in infectious illnesses closer to the event, we reserve the right to require whatever tests are deemed most conclusive at that time. (Most likely Covid tests.) Liability Waiver: All attendees must sign the Liability Waiver, which acknowledges that our Community will not be held responsible for any damages or hardships that may occur during your visit, including illness. The Liability waiver for this camp is included on the registration form; you sign the waiver by checking the box as required. Each person needs to fill out their own registration form and agree to the liability waiver. DIRECTIONS: Joyful Journey Hot Springs Spa is 32 miles south of Salida and 50 miles north of Alamosa on scenic highway 17, which runs parallel to the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. The Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve is 40 minutes south from Joyful Journey and the spiritual mecca of Crestone is 30 minutes south. Joyful Journey is located in the San Luis Valley of South Central Colorado – on Highway 17 one mile south of the Highway 285 Junction. Elevation: 7700 feet - as well as spectacular views of the14,000-foot peaks of the Sangre De Cristo Wilderness. If you find high altitude challenging, consider adding chlorophyll drops to your drinking water, and bringing some Amazing Grass hydration tablets (NOT energy tablets) to put in your water too.
