Domestic abuse affects more than just the individuals who are directly abused. Friends and family members are also touched by the trauma. Many don't know how to respond or help. Others need to have a place where they can safely share their concerns or learn healthy ways to deal with the challenges that abuse brings to individuals and relationships far beyond the primary target of that abuse. One of our Ministry Partners, Penelope House (the local shelter for victims of domestic violence), will provide leadership for a monthly support group that is being offered at Christ United. If you have a family member or friend living in an abusive relationship, this may be an opportunity for you to learn, receive support, and connect with others.
