Step into the serene world of birds with this calming beginner-level birdwatching workshop. Whether you’re just starting out or simply looking to reconnect with nature this session offers a gentle welcoming introduction to the art of observing birds.
Led by Pankaj Gupta of Bird Count India this immersive walk through Lodhi Garden will teach you how to spot birds in trees on the ground and even mid-flight. You’ll learn how to identify them by shape colour and behaviour—and tune into their calls and songs to detect hidden birds nearby.
No prior experience or equipment is needed. We’ll provide a few shared binoculars and bird guides. Just bring your curiosity a notepad and a love for the outdoors.
What You’ll Do:
- Icebreaker and intro to birdwatching basics
- Learn how to spot and ID birds using shape behaviour and calls
- Take a slow nature walk to observe local birds
- Try your hand at listening to and recognising common bird sounds
