Northern Lights Lantern Festival 2025

We’d love for you to join us at the 22nd Annual Northern Lights Lantern Festival - Saturday August 9 2025 from 5:00-9:30pm at Merv Sullivan Park (the Pit) Halifax NS.

Connect with friends old and new for a fun free event with the whole family!

The festival is a celebration of the vibrancy and diversity of Halifax’s North End. It’s a community festival in the truest sense where everyone is welcome. There is no charge for admission activities or BBQ.

- Bouncy Castles - Presented by 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆

- Lantern Making - Presented by 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐋𝐭𝐝

- Carnival Games

- Face Painting

- Free Community BBQ (featuring hotdogs veggie dogs and halal

dogs) - Presented by 𝐆𝐮𝐲𝐬𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐞𝐫

- Live Music on the 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 Main Stage

- Parade of Lanterns at Dusk

- Firework Finale at 9:15pm - Presented by 𝐀&𝐁 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠

Food vendors on site with food for purchase.

Live music on the main stage throughout the festival and the night is capped off with our parade of lanterns and a wonderful fireworks display. It’s a great way to celebrate the North End as a community!
