A Life Skills Class for Ages 1β18
π¨βπ³ About the Class:
Join us for a delicious and empowering journey through the kitchen! In this fun, hands-on class, students will build a taco bar using an electric skillet while learning how to prepare simple, nutritious meals using a variety of safe, beginner-friendly tools.
This program is part of our Art of Life series and is designed to foster independence, confidence, and healthy habits in students of all abilities.
π½οΈ What Youβll Learn:
- Cooking fundamentals & meal planning
- Safe use of beginner-friendly tools (e.g. electric skillet, griddle, crockpot, air fryer)
- Food prep and kitchen safety
- Healthy choice-making and self-care
- Confidence in preparing meals independently
This class is more than just cooking β itβs a life skills training experience tailored for young learners, guided by certified Life & Health Coach Siobhan Alban Ashley Serbonich or Rebecca Whitman, founder of our Beyond the Spectrum program.
π Class Schedule:
- Every other Thursday at 12 PM
- Every other Saturday at 1 PM
- Class length: Approximately 1.5β2 hours
π Registration is required at least 3 days in advance to allow time for fresh ingredient prep and supply planning.
