- **Event Description**: Join us on this roadside cleanup of Tomhicken Creek all the way to the intersection with Rock Glen Road below the Black Creek Township Municipal Building. 

We will be partnering with the Friends of the Nescopeck Creek watershed association, Black Creek Township, Keep PA Beautiful, PA DOT, and 50-year cleanup volunteer, Mary Welsh, who sought out help this year. We are looking forward to making her an honorary volunteer. She’s 76 years old and lives along Rock Glen Road. Black Creek Township has offered to pick up the trash bags full of trash following the cleanup.

Tomhicken Road is long and narrow in places, so we are looking for small groups to divide up from the Park n Ride off SR 93 east down along Tomhicken Road to drive to locations where they can pull off safely to pickup roadside trash in the small communities along the Black Creek and the roadside areas, ditches, and drainage swales and drop inlet stormwater structures. 

Traffic is frequent and we hope that drivers will slow down when our LITTER CREW AHEAD safety signs are put up. Most of the debris is discarded trash, fast food bags, beer cans, plastic bottles, styrofoam containers, plastic bags, some tires, and too many milk and spring water jugs to mention. Bags, gloves, and safety shirts will be provided. Lunch will be provided as well. We will likely look for a local pizza shop to provide us with possibly some discounted pizza pies for lunch. We will provide water and drinks.
