Manx Litfest at EAC: Mark Grist

Mark Grist is an award-winning poet, rapper, storyteller, podcaster and children’s author, who rose to fame when his Don’t Flop rap battle against Mancunian MC Blizzard became an internet sensation. Mark’s shows are absolutely unmissable, thanks to his inspirational storytelling skills and passion for his subject, along with his complex grasp of rhyme and writing techniques.

His live show ‘Rogue Teacher’, which he is performing at Manx Litfest, is currently in development as a feature film with Studio Canal.

As the self-proclaimed Rogue Teacher of his show’s title, Mark left his career as an English teacher to try and pursue his love of words more directly as a poet, and it’s these stages of his life, along with the inadvertent rap battles that brought him to the public’s attention, that make up the majority of this show.
