Dyes and spice!

On Tuesday 12th August, children aged 8 to 12 are invited to join us at the National Museum of Natural History in Mdina for a fun, colourful day of nature-inspired art.

Starting at 09:00, participants will learn how natural dyes come to be. Following this, the children will create their very own tote bags using plant-based dyes in a hands-on activity.

After a short break, museum educators will lead a β€˜Spice Art’ session, where the little artists will use real spices to create stunning, scented masterpieces. The workshop finishes at 13:00.

Tickets, costing €35, can be booked from Store – Heritage Malta or from any Heritage Malta museum or site. Spaces are limited to ensure individual attention.

Participants are to bring their own packed lunch, and an apron or old t-shirt to protect clothing from the dyes. Children will be fully supervised, therefore guardians are not required to stay unless the child has a disability requiring additional support.
