Professional artist Diana Randolph will instruct drawing mushrooms using pencil, waterproof pen & ink, watercolor pencils, and/or a watercolor wash. After an informative presentation about mushrooms by a Museum Naturalist, we’ll explore the art elements of line, shape, shading, texture, and color through gills, pores, stems, and caps. Gain an appreciation of mushrooms as you express their different forms. Meet at the Wayside Wanderings Natural Play Area’s Wake Robin Pavilion at 11 a.m. and finish by 4 p.m. Bring your lunch and favorite drawing materials or use some materials the instructor provides. Space is limited. Register by August 20. $45 member/$55 non-member. One week prior to class, the instructor will email a suggested supply list.
