Get hooked on fishing! Meet us at the fishing pier behind the Rec Center at Powderhorn Park to practice your fishing skills or learn how to cast for the first time. Registration: This a drop-in event. No registration required.

Activity Level: This easy-active program is entirely outdoors. We will be fishing from the pier and/or the shore.

What to Bring: Clothing and shoes you can comfortably move around in is recommended. Sun protection, bug spray and drinking water are recommended. All fishing equipment and bait will be provided. Event is weather dependent and will be cancelled in event of rain

Accessibility: Portable restrooms and water fountains located outside the rec center and additional restrooms and water fountains located indoors. Dedicated handicap parking available. Trails are paved and mostly flat, with slight slopes at entry points. Trails are maintained year-round and are usually suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. The rec center is a <0.1 mile walk from the parking lot.
