Feel-good Friday Soundbath with cacao (small mixed group)

Sound therapy or sound healing is not magic, but it feels like it. It has actually been around since ancient times and is based on the understanding that everything is energy and so has a frequency or vibration.

During a Selfcentres soundbath you’ll be welcomed into a calming and comfortable space infused with gentle reiki energy and healing intentions.

You’ll be fully clothed and invited to get comfortable on the luxurious mats, under the cosy blankets provided. Michelle will take you through some grounding and a gentle guided relaxation before any bowls or instruments are played.

You’ll also be served an optional vegan ceremonial grade cacao to sip at the start of the session. This helps to open the heart chakra, creating space for healing, reflection, transformation, and creative inspiration. (Cacao is safe for most people but those with heart conditions or pregnant women or individuals sensitive to stimulants should consult a healthcare provider before consuming.)

Michelle’s beautiful pure quartz crystal singing bowls vibrate at a similar frequency to that of the human body, where they tune in to the body’s chakras to guide your nervous system to a state of balance.

As you relax and listen to the pure tones of these crystal bowls, your brainwaves will gently shift from beta to alpha and even theta states.

There are no expectations on you during the class, you don’t need to bring anything as mats, pillows etc are all provided. No experience is required as Michelle will explain all you need to know.

- The session usually lasts around 1hr 15minutes.
- Comfy clothes like leggings or jogging trousers that you’re happy lying down in are recommended.
- Doors open 10 minutes before session starts, please arrive in plenty of time as once the class starts we’re unable to stop to allow others in. If you’re running late please message Michelle directly to advise.
