‘No worldly goods to worry about’; the life and art of William Ratcliffe- evening talk

A talk from Ratcliffe’s biographer Ros Allwood, about William Ratcliffe, an artist who spent much of his long life working in and around Letchworth Garden City.

For a few years in the early 20th century, this quiet and unassuming man unexpectedly became part of The Camden Town Group of young British artists. With them, he exhibited at the famous Post Impressionist and Futurist exhibition in London in 1913, with Piccasso, Cezanne and Van Gogh, as well his friends Harold Gilman and Spencer Gore.
