The Thomas Newcomen Experience is an immersive adventure that explores the fascinating world of steam and the age of invention in Dartmouth in 1700. With our inspiring Story Teller Ronnie (see discussion page) , audiences are taken on a journey to discover the properties of steam and how people used it to invent new machines.
With a blend of spellbinding storytelling, fun activities and film, this session is both educational and highly entertaining for audiences of all ages.
Beginning at The Flavel auditorium audiences will be led on a journey to visit to the working models of Newcomen’s Steam Engine in Dartmouth Museum (entry included in your ticket).
