Poetry Workshop - 4S Ranch Library
Local poet Katie Kemple will guide participants through a series of poetry prompts using photography and memory to craft narrative poems. During this workshop, you'll read poems inspired by images, then try writing your own poems using similar techniques. No prior experience or materials needed. Come as you are and leave with the seeds of a new poem.
Kemple is the author of Big Man (Chestnut Review Chapbooks, 2025). Her poems appear regularly in literary journals including Frontier, Ploughshares, and The South Carolina Review. She's the recipient of poetry scholarships from La Romita Art School (Italy, 2025) and Martha's Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing (2024). More of her work can be found at katiekemplepoetry.com.
