Irreversible (2002)

“Eccentric Cinema” was inspired by the groundbreaking L.A. cable station Z Channel and its chief programmer Jerry Harvey. Dedicated to showcasing offbeat films, directors’ cuts, and the more unique mainstream offerings, Harvey resurrected movies that had been cast aside critically, flopped at the box office, or developed cult followings. Adopting that same idea, “Eccentric Cinema” brings you some of the wildest, weirdest, underseen, or most controversial movies, allowing audiences the opportunity to experience these films on the big screen.

IRREVERSIBLE: A tragedy that unfolds backwards, Gaspar Noé’s graphic and haunting shocker follows a couple whose relationship deteriorates after one of them is violently attacked. Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci (an actual couple during filming) star, with Bellucci choreographing the centerpiece attack herself. Due to the nature of the film, NO ONE UNDER 18 WILL BE ADMITTED. (2002, dir. Gaspar Noé)
