Macbeth

Seven Ages Theatricals is thrilled to present free performances of Shakespeare’s haunting and violent tragedy, Macbeth. Macbeth tells a cautionary tale of ambition, greed, and murder as the titular role is told by three mysterious Witches that he will ascend to be the King of Scotland, though none of his children will do so. Is it a blessing or a threat? What would happen if Macbeth simply went along as he was and held back trying to set action in motion himself? The answer becomes clear as he and his wife navigate suspicion, murder, ghosts, and warring factions in their bloody struggle to hold onto power.

Macbeth will be presented at Sheboygan's City Green September 5th and 6th at 7:30 and the 7th at 2:00. 7AT asks that attendees bring along a lawn chair or blanket as seating is limited at City Green, and a sweater or hoodie is usually a good idea. Well-behaved pets and children are welcome though the play contains content that might be inappropriate for the latter. Audiences should be aware that Macbeth contains dramatic stage violence, stage blood, sounds of war, and an inference that a character has committed suicide.
