Community Star Party

Join us for a community star party - an outdoor gathering of astronomy lovers of all levels who look through telescopes, binoculars, or star hop with the naked-eye, while sharing knowledge and stories. We'll have telescopes set up for the public to view the night sky, all ages welcome. You can bring your own telescope to learn or share, but no personal equipment is necessary, just come and enjoy!

We’ll look for summer favorites like the Lagoon Nebula, Eagle Nebula, Swan Nebula, the Hercules Cluster, the Ring Nebula, and much more! You’ll also have a chance to look for famous summer constellations like Hercules, Sagittarius, Scorpius, Lyra, Cygnus, and of course the Summer Triangle.

No registration necessary. At any star party weather is a factor, if poor conditions persist the event may end early, but the event will begin regardless as there’s always a chance that some observing may be possible!

You’re welcome to bring your own telescopes too, volunteers will be able to help you get set up if you’d like assistance.
