Stories of Innovation at Ferme Houle Farm

August 13, 2025 @ 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Curran (Eastern Ontario)
Andre Houle of Ferme Houle Farm isn’t afraid to try something new. A third-generation farmer who transitioned to organic in 2021, Andre has transformed his fields from conventional corn and soy to a thriving, diverse ecosystem of intercropped, cover-cropped, no-till, and soil-building crops. 🌽
This season, the Houle team is trialing everything from polycropping and no-till soybeans to intercropping combos like barley and peas, and oats and clover. They're even participating in a farmer-led wheat and oat breeding project through SeedChange and the University of Manitoba.
Join us for a field tour and discussion about their journey, the soil health trials, and the lessons they’re learning along the way.
