“Eccentric Cinema” was inspired by the groundbreaking L.A. cable station Z Channel and its chief programmer Jerry Harvey. Dedicated to showcasing offbeat films, directors’ cuts, and the more unique mainstream offerings, Harvey resurrected movies that had been cast aside critically, flopped at the box office, or developed cult followings. Adopting that same idea, “Eccentric Cinema” brings you some of the wildest, weirdest, underseen, or most controversial movies, allowing audiences the opportunity to experience these films on the big screen.

FEMALE TROUBLE: John Waters’ follow-up to Pink Flamingos. Bratty schoolgirl Dawn Davenport (drag icon Divine) runs away from home when she doesn’t get cha-cha heels for Christmas. Caught up in a mad crime spree, Dawn eventually gives birth to a daughter and becomes a model for a pair of beauticians who believe “crime and beauty are the same thing.” Co-starring Mink Stole, Cookie Mueller, and Edith Massey. Due to its NC-17 rating, NO ONE UNDER 18 WILL BE ADMITTED. (1974, dir. John Waters)
