Parnell Family Benefit Pasta Dinner

St. William Church will be hosting a Benefit Pasta Dinner for Tom Parnell who was diagnosed with stage-4 pancreatic cancer and has been undergoing aggressive treatments to prepare for surgery. All money collected will go directly to the Parnell Family. The dinner on August 8 from 4:00-7:00 p.m., includes pasta and meatballs, Italian bread, side salad, beverage, and dessert will be dine-in and carry-out. The meal costs $15.00 and includes one raffle ticket for the Mega Door Prize.
The Park Avenue Brass, a brass quintet made up of local music teachers, will perform live dinner music to enhance the Italian theme. Community volunteers and local businesses have donated items for many baskets to raffle and the St. William Quilters have donated a full-size handmade quilt to be raffled. In addition, a 50/50 raffle will be held throughout the evening. Drawings will begin at 6:30p.m. and will conclude with the Mega Door Prize drawing at 7:00 p.m. St. William Church can be found in Champion, Ohio at 5411 Mahoning Ave. NW. Tom has many more treatments followed by more rounds of chemo and then radiation for the foreseeable future. Each round of chemo consists of an 8-hour day at the Cancer Center several days per week. Tom is a United States Marine and prides himself on being tough but this has proven to be a challenge. Tom and his wife Veronica have three children: Makenzie, William (9), and Logan (7).
