The next SWIPWG Work Party is scheduled for Saturday August 2; 9:00 – 12:00.
Steady progress was made in July removing invasives upstream from bridge; work will continue to focus on the this area … removing the invasive honey suckle, burning bush, and the garlic mustard. Hope you can participate as we continue to manage the resilient invasives. A special THANK YOU to all the July volunteers for your contributions on the holiday weekend to the development of the Invasive Plants Education Area!
Please plan on meeting along Petersen Way where the Town Equipment trailer will be parked. For those new to the SWIPWG, the Town provides the necessary gloves, the pruning/cutting tools, bags for the pulled plants, and water to support our volunteer activities.
Weather looks promising; should that change will let you know plans.
