Motown and More is a two-hour concert that features live renditions by such artists as The Temptations (My Girl), The Four Tops (I Canβt Help Myself), Diana Ross & The Supremes (Stop in the Name of Love), Gladys Knight and the Pips (Midnight Train to Georgia), Martha Reeves & The Vandellas (Dancing in the Street) and many others. Diane McIntosh, the creator of Motown and More is a Michigan native who grew up in Detroit and was influenced by the Motown sound at an early age. She also serves as arranger, producer, director and choreographer of the live musical production. After graduating with a degree in Clinical Psychology, Diane worked for several years in Michigan's public service field. However, her love for music took on a life of its own, and she returned to Atlanta and formed her own self-titled band. Since 2004, they have been providing live entertainment for numerous weddings, corporate events, and galas.
When creating Motown and More, she personally auditioned and hand-picked a cast of over a dozen performers who will perform songs from the legends whose work belonged to the Motown label and those whose later art emulated that style, in a live musical production that is as much a dramatic performance as it is a concert. In addition to the music, the show will feature the dance moves, outfits, charisma and personalities of each artist it pays tribute to. She describes the production is described as βAn unforgettable Trip Down Memory Lane.β
