Did you know Cockburn’s wetlands are home to the near-threatened Snake-necked Turtle?
In preparation for the upcoming turtle nesting season, the City in partnership with the Harvest Lakes Residents Association is hosting a community information session to raise awareness and share how you can help protect these unique native turtles.
What to expect:
- Learn about the Snake-necked Turtle and current status of populations in Cockburn
- Understand the threats facing this species and what the City is doing to support turtle conservation
- Find out how you can get involved and make a difference
- Plus special guests WA Wildlife and Tommy the Turtle!
Light refreshments will be provided. Registrations are essential.
