Rebecca Macfie has been a journalist for thirty-seven years. A collection of her New Zealand Listener articles on the Christchurch earthquake was published in 2013. She is the author of Tragedy at Pike River: How and why 29 men died (2013) and a biography of Helen Kelly (2021). Rebecca will talk about the projects she has been immersed in over recent years, exploring how poverty is designed into our economy and institutions, and why furious hope and resistance matters.

As ever, this event is free to attend and open to the public. 6.30PM for a 7.00PM start.
