Whether you're curious about weaving or already own a rigid-heddle loom and want to learn how to use it, this comprehensive weekend course is the perfect starting point. Across two full-day sessions, you'll be guided through the fundamentals of Rigid Heddle Loom weaving, building confidence and hands-on experience from the ground up.

Led by Julie Cowan, Truro Wool's expert tutor and experienced weaver, you’ll be creating beautiful pieces of fabric from your very first session.
Day 1:
Get to know the Loom, common weaving terminology, direct warp the loom, plain weave a broad stripe placemat with Hemstitch Finishing
Day 2:
Direct warp a Loom with a multi-coloured 2x2 warp calculating how much yarn each shade will require, how to change Weft colour, experiment with colours and finish your second placemat. Plus theory on how to create a Plaid design.
