Madison-Hanover Connector Trail Groundbreaking

Join the City of Madison, One Southern Indiana Regional Development Authority, and the Heritage Trail Conservancy for a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the beginning of Phase I of the Madison-Hanover Connector Trail.

The groundbreaking will take place on August 7, 2025, at 11 AM in the trailhead parking lot on McIntire Street, just north of Main Street (see map).

This project is a part of the City's 5-Year Parks Master Plan. Beginning downtown, branching off the Heritage Trail, the trail will cross Crooked Creek and progress westward to Clifty Falls State Park, tying our downtown area into the south entrance of Clifty Falls. This will allow bicyclists, walkers, and hikers to travel freely between the areas. This project also partners with the regional development authority's goal of establishing a world-class trail system in the 5-county region.
