Indigo Dye Workshop

Join Laura Easterling as she takes you on an adventure into natural dyes. This will be a very basic introduction to the natural dye indigo. This will be a dye bath for protein fibers (wool, alpaca, yak, silk, etc). You can bring your own skeins of yarn to dye, or can purchase them in the shop (prices start at $6). The class cost includes dyeing 2 skeins of yarn, and then there is an additional charge of $2 per skein.


PLEASE NOTE: If you are pregnant, you are not allowed to participate in this class.

Materials provided: dye materials and two skeins of natural wool yarn.

Please bring: an old apron and wear clothes appropriate for a messy environment
