Garden Gold: Composting Tips and Tricks

Decorah Public Library and Luther College’s Center for Sustainable Communities are hosting a free presentation on composting, given by Hannah Batterson on August 14th at 6 PM. The presentation will take place in the library’s lower level meeting room.

Learn how to turn your food scraps and lawn clippings into gardening gold at this informational conversation about how to start composing in your home. Participants will come away know how to get started along with some tips and tricks. The program is open to everyone, whether you’ve never composted anything or have been doing it for years. Hannah Batterson is an incoming Junior at Luther College majoring in International Studies. When she is not in class, she is working as a student worker in the Center for Sustainable Communities at Luther or Dancing!
