BSG Community Garden Working Bee

BSG Community Garden

At our last BSG garden session, we made great progress in planning the future of the space. Together, we developed:

- A list of features and elements we’d like to include in the garden
- A plant wish list of species we hope to grow (natives and food)
- A set of goals and aims to guide the garden’s development

We also sketched out a rough mud map design (see attached photo). One exciting idea is to create a central feature—such as a structure, sculpture, or habitat—once the Kennedia is cut back and part of the mound is cleared. A path will circle around this central element to make the space more inviting and accessible.

Next Working Bee: Sunday 4 August, 1pm - 3pm

Our next task is to relocate the wicking beds along the garden wall. This will involve rearranging the soil and borders as needed. To make it happen, we’ll need tarps, wheelbarrows, shovels, and tools to help untangle the Kennedia from the wicking bed frames.

If you’re available to help, we’d love to see you there! Many hands make light work— if there is a better time to suit you, please let us know and we can work around availabilities. Contact Teri on 0403 566 946
