South Carolina Ballet invites young dancers to audition for children’s roles in the professional production of Nutcracker, performing at the Francis Marion Performing Arts Center on December 17th & 18th at 7:00 pm.
This is a special opportunity for young dancers to share the stage with South Carolina Ballet’s professional company in a full-scale theatrical production seen by thousands each holiday season.

Audition Date & Times — Sunday, October 5:
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM | Ages 4–6
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Ages 7–10
Audition Fee:
Early Registration: $20 (Available online through Friday, October 3 at 5:00 PM).
Day-Of Admission: $25 (pay at the studio on October 5).
Important: All rehearsals are mandatory. If a child misses a rehearsal for any reason, they may be removed from the production. Be sure your child is available for all scheduled rehearsals and performances before auditioning.
Performance Dates:
December 17th & 18th at 7:00 pm.
Rehearsal Dates:
Afternoons of November 16th, 23rd, and December 7th, & 14th.
Exact rehearsal times will be provided with notification of acceptance.
Dress Code:
Girls: Black leotard, pink tights, hair in a slick bun, light makeup (lip and cheek color, light eyeshadow).
Boys: White leotard or plain white t-shirt, black tights and black shoes, or black tights with white socks and white shoes.
