Faith at Work Blood Drive with The Blood Connection

The Blood Connection has just unveiled a new program called Faith at Work, which allows churches like ours to raise additional funds by hosting a blood drive in collaboration with them.
For every 30 successful blood donations collected at our Faith at Work blood drive, TBC will donate $500 to the church. In addition, all donors receive an e-gift card that they can use for restaurants, retailers, VISA and MasterCard.

Am I eligible to donate blood if...
I have a tattoo?
Yes! Having a tattoo will not defer you as long as you got it from a certified tattoo technician, and it is healed.
I have high blood pressure?
Yes! As long as your blood pressure is under 180/100.
I have diabetes?
Yes! If your diabetes is being treated and is under control, you are most likely able to donate.
I take medication?
It depends on what the medication is for, but most are accepted.
I don't feel well?
No! You can't donate blood if you have a fever, a cough, you do not feel well, or if you are taking antibiotics to treat an infection.
I have low iron?
Maybe! Low iron is usually a temporary condition. FDA requires that your hemoglobin is checked to ensure it is in the required range for blood donation. If it's below that range, you cannot donate.
Call 864-751-1154 with any questions.
