Gladiator Workshop
Sunday August 10 & 17, 2025 2-3:30pm
Recreate the fighting methods of the gladiators of ancient Rome through experimental archeology with the VFS Kernoozer Club ancient studies program. Bring your experience in other styles of combat to share in this exploration of ancient fighting techniques.
• Participants will need HEMA masks, gloves and jackets. If you do not have equipment, loaner items will be available.
• This is not a tournament or competition. Light sparring will only be used to recreate and study methods of gladiatorial combat.
• Any experience level welcome.
• Ages 18 and over. Younger participants may be allowed with the approval of the instructor.
• Sessions are Sundays August 10 & 17, 2025. You do not need to attend both.
• These workshops are free to attend.
