Canvases of Change: Connecting Unheard Voices

On Friday, in partnership with the Bangor First Friday Artwalk, art from individuals with lived experience of homelessness, substance use, mental health challenges, and recovery will be highlighted at several downtown businesses. We will have a small gallery area with refreshments set up in the Clark building, as well as art displayed in windows throughout downtown. Maps will be available!

Saturday 12-3 we will be in front of the Library (or in the atrium, depending on weather) to create various types of art together, enjoy music, and spend time building community together. Weaving, drawing, and painting will be part of what is available, with guest speakers and music artists presenting throughout the time.

Saturday evening, at 5PM, we will gather at the Unitarian Universtalist Society of Bangor for a presentation of the Paths to Dignity Concerto, and a meal and discussion to hear our neighbors' experiences.
