Over the course of four weeks, we’ll slow things down and break yoga down. You’ll learn the most common postures, transitions, and class components in a supportive, inclusive environment where questions are not only welcome—they're encouraged. Each session offers the chance to build strength, understanding, and confidence in your body and your practice. Whether you're brand new to yoga or looking to revisit the basics with more guidance, this series will help you feel more prepared and empowered on the mat.
What to Expect Each Week:
Week 1: Chaturanga & Sun Salutations
Learn the building blocks of a flow class. We’ll break down Chaturanga (yoga’s version of a push-up), proper alignment, and how to move safely through Sun Salutations.
Week 2: Two-Legged Standing Poses
Explore foundational standing postures like Warrior I, Warrior II, and Triangle. We’ll focus on stability, strength, and how to modify poses to suit your body.
Week 3: Balancing on One Leg & Beyond
Discover the techniques that support balance—both physically and mentally. We’ll work with poses like Tree and Eagle, plus other commonly cued balancing transitions.
Week 4: Putting It All Together
Flow through a full beginner-friendly yoga class with guidance and support, applying everything you’ve learned in a way that feels accessible and empowering.
Come as you are—no flexibility or prior experience required. All bodies and backgrounds are welcome!
