Monarch Waystation Tour

This coming Friday, Aug 1st, in place of our normal morning volunteer workday, we will make a visit to check out each of the TOBM Monarch Waystation sites, beginning with the naturalized meadow slope at Lake Tomohawk (below Black Mountain Pool). There are 4 Monarch Waystation sites, from which we typically rotate weekly during our volunteer hours. For the tour, we will carpool/caravan to each. You are then welcome to join us to visit two other Monarch Waystation sites in Swannanoa, in the Souverigin Oaks community near Warren Wilson College, finishing up the tour by around 11:30am.
Mid summer is a time when native pollinator gardens are teaming with bird life and pollinators. Come check them out with Emily Sampson, who created and has been maintaining these spaces since 2015.
