Life Drawing: Observing the Human Figure 3 day course – Landmark Summer School

This thoughtfully structured three day course blends classical observational techniques with fresh, imaginative approaches to drawing the human figure. Through a mix of short and sustained poses, and working with a different model each day, you’ll explore a wide range of ways to see, understand and interpret the body.

Suitable for adult beginners and those with experience. Some general drawing experience would be helpful but is not essential.

Whether you're aiming to newly build your confidence in observational drawing or returning to sharpen your skills, you'll enrich your visual awareness, strengthen your understanding of anatomy and proportion, and develop a toolkit of strategies for tackling life drawing challenges on your own. You’ll receive individual guidance in a supportive, focused environment -- ideal for beginning artists and those returning to the figure.

You’ll finish the course with a strong body of work, a renewed connection to drawing, and plenty of material to keep your momentum going. All participants will work from an easel, either sitting or standing
