Back to School Event at Braxton Union

Get ready for a full day of family fun on Saturday, August 16th, at Braxton Union’s Back to School on the Lawn event!
From 11 AM to 4 PM, Ace of Fades Barbershop will be giving free kids’ haircuts with a donation of essential school supplies, such as crayons, notebooks, or items from our list below, to support local students. Sign-ups are required - click the link in bio!
While the little ones wait to get their fresh cuts, enjoy face painting by From the Heart Face Art from 12 to 5 PM, and keep the energy going with DJ Nat Jones in the house from 11 AM to 4 PM. Plus, don’t miss the Union Fire Department’s firetruck during Touch-a-Truck from 2 to 5 PM, perfect for your curious kids.
As the day winds down, relax and enjoy live music by the Tracy Walker Band from 7 to 10 PM. There will also be games, a coloring station with back-to-school posters and pages, and a fun photo area to capture those fresh cuts and school spirit.
Bring your family, support the community, and let’s make sure every kid feels confident going back to school, and perhaps give you a reason to kick back with a brew as well.
