Refined Wild: The Giraffe Gourd Experience

Create a stunning giraffe sculpture crafted from gourds at our class on Friday, September 12 (6-8:30 pm). This whimsical giraffe fits beautifully in any decor and is sure to become a conversation piece in your home. Joni Hasselbach, our incredible resident gourd artist, has agreed to teach this award-winning design — and we couldn’t be more excited. This unforgettable giraffe sculpture took Best of Show at both the Sandusky County Fair and the Ohio Gourd Show. It’s a mixed media masterpiece made with not one, but TWO unique gourds — a curly handle dipper and a Tennessee spinner — plus epoxy putty, acrylic paint, cat litter (yes, really!), eyelashes, and a whole lot of creative magic. The cost is $60 (non-refundable) per person. Registration is required by September 8. Guests are welcome to bring food and beverages. Creativity enhancers such as wine are allowed for ages 21+.
