The workshop offers a practical opportunity to work with clay and see how this expressive medium can enrich our prayer. Through clay we can be drawn into a deeper awareness and understanding of our individual faith journeys.
The time spent in quietness together begins with an introduction to basic clay making techniques, which form the first part of the retreat. It is non-judgemental. What each one feels drawn to make is personal to you. No previous experience of working with clay is necessary.
Key Information
Retreatants are asked to arrive at 3.00pm on Friday 24th October. The Retreat ends with lunch on Sunday 26th October with departures by 2.30pm.
£285 per person, including room and all meals, as well as all art materials.

About Mary Penley
Mary is a Spiritual Director, having trained on the three year Encounter programme; a Ceramic artist and licientiate member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen; a Motorsport Chaplain, for Sports Chaplaincy UK.
Mary made her 20th annotation at St Beuno’s in 2023. Mary is a member of SDE – Spiritual Directors in Europe.
