Bag/roll-a-thon in aid of Alan's 57

Earlier this year the brother-in-law, Alan, of our amazing clubman, Tony Crosland, took his own life suddenly, leaving no explanation as to why he took such a monumental decision and leaving his family to pick up the pieces.

Tony's wife and Alan's sister, Helen, is in the process of launching a charity to raise funds in his memory and support Andy's Man Club and The Samaritan's in the process.

On Wednesday, November 12th we will be holding a bag/roll-a-thon session, giving all members of the club a chance to get involved and make a difference. The first hour will be open to kids, with 60 minutes of bag work, pad work and sparring before the adults take over at 6.30pm with 100 minutes of rolling (ten x 10 minute rounds). All money raised will go to support the huge number of people in the world struggling with their mental health.

I'm sure you're aware, but Tony has done a HUGE amount for the club over the years, building rings and cages, installing lights, propping the club up financially, let alone all the time he puts in FOR FREE to produce all the Fight Night photos and videos. This is our chance to give back collectively.

We will shortly have a Just Giving page in place to support the event on social media and sponsorship forms will be available from Michael at the gym if people would like to raised funds that way.
