"Journey to Joy, Again" at MN Fringe

"Seriously! Coming out as a lesbian woman was easier than coming out as a person with a disability!" Marie Cooney begins her one woman show, which delves into her deeply personal journey through devastating losses and despair to finding hope, reasons to live and joy again.

After sustaining a life altering Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Marie, a previously fully able bodied person struggles with the physical, cognitive, mental, social and spiritual challenges of a brain injury and seizure disorder. In addition, she learns what it is like to live with a disability that is often invisible to others.
