Open Gardens Victoria - Red Gums 2025
Advertisement
This garden complements 1 hectare of remnant Red Gums, has 2.5 hectares of Australian native plants and a Moreton Bay Fig tree around140 years old.
This is an informal garden of exclusively Australian plants (over 150 different types), with open areas to complement the planted areas and rock work – balancing mass and void. The basic concept is to have an upper story of trees, with a middle story of smaller trees and medium size shrubs, and a lower story of ground covers and small shrubs. There are informal tracks, which wind through the trees so that one can get the feeling of the ‘bush’.
Sam Cox designed this garden and will be talking on both days. Times to be advised.
Entry: $10 Adults/$6 Students (with ID card) /Under 18 or students who have purchased an annual Student Pass (with ID) - Free
Tickets can be booked and pre-paid online via TryBooking. You can also pay on the day.
We also open Graceburn in Drysdale over this same weekend.
