We'll be hosting this awesome day of REALLY long range shooting in conjunction with the Campbell River Gun Club, and Mark Giles of VFPGA "Outdoor" rimfire.
MATCH FEE: $40
WHAT IS IT?:
The format is based as closely as we can on the King of .22 miles competition. Some stages will be re-written to conform with the rules of the Campbell River facility though.
The match will consist of 5 or 6 stages, all shot from a prone or bench top position. There will be a stage of proper 300yd Long Gong competition. There will be a 1/3rd IPSC troop line stage. There will most definitely be the King of .22 Miles stage with targets in 100yd increments out to 600 (yes I said 600!!!) yards.
So it's .22lr only? Can they actually go that far?
Yes, this particular match is limited to .22lr only. And yes, they actually will. Hopefully. Pray for tailwinds.
The Campbell River Gun Club has been gracious enough to allow us usage of their outdoor range for the day. Map directions are here:

ACCOMMODATION:
Not 100% sure if there is accommodation on site. Working on it, stay tuned. There is, however, fantastic camping at Elk Falls Provincial Park, just a short drive away. Info and reservations here: https://bcparks.ca/elk-falls-park/#camping
Otherwise there are many hotels in Campbell River proper if you are coming from a significant distance away and want to come up the day before.
TROPHIES:
You betcha!! There will be an award for the top score in each stage, plus 1st thru 3rd place trophies for highest overall scores of the day. There's even a stage where not only will the winner get a trophy, there will be an envelope with a "Big Cash Prize" (Craig Ferguson reference, it will not all be in quarters) for the winner, the value of which will increase proportionately to however many people we have register.
