This 6-week course introduces students to the fundamentals of wheel throwing. Guided by instructor Adam Haney, students will learn essential techniques such as centering, pulling, and shaping clay on the wheel. Each weekly three-hour session will provide hands-on practice and personalized guidance to help students create functional and decorative pots. This class is perfect for beginners looking to build a solid foundation in wheel throwing!
Instructor Bio:
Adam earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and has been working with clay since 2012. He’s the co-owner of A&N Ceramics, a local business focused on creating functional pottery and teaching workshops. Adam’s laid-back teaching style fosters a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where the goal is to unwind, get creative, and take a break from the hustle of daily life. You’ll learn a lot, have fun, and probably make a few new friends along the way.
